JODI'S STORY

Dedicated to making beautiful items that you will enjoy living with. Each piece is handmade in small batches.  Jodi strives for perfectly imperfect forms. Over the years Jodi's design aesthetic has been influenced by her years working as a textile designer, the beautiful, rustic landscape that now surrounds her, and a love of vintage and handcrafted items from around the world. Many of her pieces look as if they are made from vintage fabric. Her "Indigo" pieces are inspired by vintage denim and her "Linen" pieces are mimic by rustic, antique linen. The “Canyon” pieces are inspired by hiking in the Santa Monica Mountains in winter when your surrounded by shades of brown and your standing in a cloud when you reach the top. Her work is a soulful, mix of textural elements. Each piece reminds us that everyday objects can be special.

At first ceramics was a hobby for Jodi. A lovely way to escape and be creative in a different way. For 20 years she worked as a print, textile and product designer in New York. Her work experiences include designing for Ralph Lauren Home, Anthropologie and The Company Store as well as developing collections for Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Horchow. Throughout her career she has focused on making products that you will enjoy having in your home.

The work is inspired by my years working as a textile designer, the rustic, beautiful landscape that now surrounds me, and my love vintage and the handcrafted items from around the world.
